Photography started as a infrequent hobby for me that grew in interest due to my son's sports activities and my travel. At the suggestions of friends and family, I decided to post some of my work on the net - I hope you'll find some of it interesting. I grew up in a small town in south Texas (Nordheim) , where I gained an appreciation for the outdoors. I earned a doctorate from U.T. Austin and have worked as a scientist and reservoir engineer for 26 years. My wife, son and I live near an anti-small town (Houston, TX), which is near several great locations for nature photography.

WHAT'S UP

Photos on this site are organized into the following categories: nature (living animals and plants), landscapes, and sports action. Within each category, photos are further organized into subcategories. Within the subcategories are galleries, which contain the photos. You can view the photos at various sizes, except the original size. Nearly all photos contain a watermark, which will not be present on any merchandise or digital download that is purchased. Photos can't be saved to your computer; if you want a digital copy of the photo, you can purcahse a digital download for personal use in several sizes, including the original size (small photos suitable for MySpace, etc. are very cheap). Photos are captured in RAW format using professional Canon cameras and lenses. Each photo is then hand processed to produce sharp and clear images. Substantial effort is taken to enable proper color reproduction through the use of a color-calibrated work-flow from the capture of the image to editing and printing.

SEARCHING

A keyword search feature enables narrowing your search for particular photos instead of browsing through many. For example, to search for all bird photos from Bolivar Flats, enter "bird-bolivar-flats" (don't actually type the quotes). There are no player name keywords in the Sports category.

NON-PROFIT SUPPORT

20% of sales of photos of Clements High School athletics are donated to the CHS Athletic Booster Club. All photos from CHS sporting events are freely available to the CHS yearbook staff.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

All email addresses and communications are kept strictly confidential. Commercial licenses for any Sports download or print require the signed consent of the athlete or parent. Photos from contracted service are provided for the customer in a private, password-protected gallery.
